On Wednesday 2 April 2025, the Togo International Fashion Festival (FIMO228) held an International Conference on Cancer, on the theme “La mode pour un monde sans cancer” (Fashion for a world without cancer). The event was sponsored by Yas.
On stage, speakers discussed prevention and the importance of early screening in front of a large audience, many dressed in their finest wax-print outfits.
When fashion takes a stand
GFVD-GL welcomes this initiative, which shows that fashion, culture and health can work together to raise awareness among women. Every chance to talk openly about breast and cervical cancer brings a woman one step closer to screening.
