On Tuesday 21 October 2025, GFVD-GL brought together women and men from Greater Lomé for a Great Pink Walk, the highlight of its Pink October mobilisation.
Setting off at 8:00 from the headquarters of the Togolese Football Federation in Kégué, the procession made its way to the Maison de la Sage-Femme in Hédzranawoé, where breast and cervical cancer screening was offered to participants.
Pink polo shirts, caps and scarves, a brass band and songs: on T-shirts and banners alike, one message — “Tous ensemble, luttons contre les cancers féminins” (Together, let’s fight women’s cancers).
